Jack Tapy Community Day

Community Day 2021 Flier.jpg

Join us for the 3rd Annual Jack Tapy Community Day! This day started after longtime church and community member Jack Tapy passed away. The day helps us keep alive his dedication to help build up the community here in Eaton. It will be held annually on the SECOND Saturday in August every year!

Part of the Community Day includes the Jim Schwarzkopf 5k. Jim is a lifelong teacher and principal in the area, including here in Eaton when it was a High school and K-8 elementary! He also has a passion for running, having run every single road in Blackford, Delaware, and Wells County; ran every state capital in the country; ran across the campus of every several Big 10 schools; and even carried the Olympic torch in 2016!

The 5k will follow a route here in Eaton, Indiana! It is open to runners, walkers, or "woggers" (something between running and walking) for people of all ages. The entire event is free!

Check out our Facebook Event Page to keep up to date on all the happenings this year!
